Teaching
Having been inspired and led by so many phenomenal teachers and theatre educators, I have worked to build and hone my own teaching skills to help the development of younger artists!
As a teaching artist I work to create spaces of open communication, ensemble learning and working, and ultimately theatre as art and play. I strive to create welcoming spaces where students of all ages can take risks, learn new things, and play to bring a theatrical tableau to life or learn something new about themselves. I think of myself as a flexible teacher and facilitator. I want to cater the lessons and experience to the group in front of me on a given day, so students stay engaged and so their agency is always in the room. I love being able to meet students where they are at to find common understanding and create something wonderful together.
I have worked as a Teaching Artist with Wheelock Family Theatre, The Boch Center, Central Square Theatre, BU Summer Theatre Institute, and Boston Conservatory. I have served as a Teaching Assistant through Harvard's Theatre, Dance, and Media Division and the Kansas City Repertory Theatre.
